A small act with a big impact – Thank you Mona!

After the difficult days around the presidential elections in Tanzania, many privately owned businesses were damaged โ€” for many, rebuilding was simply not an option.

Mona is only 5 years old, yet she chose to take action. When she saw what had happened, she started a GoFundMe page to help her family friend Dalmas and his wife rebuild their saloon. What started as a small idea quickly grew into something much bigger. The response was incredible, and the support poured in from many generous people.

Touched by this wave of solidarity, Mona and her family decided to share the impact even further. Part of the funds raised are donated to our Work&Shop, so that more young professionals can build their skills, grow their businesses, and provide for their families.

Thanks to this beautiful gift of โ‚ฌ1,450, we will:

  • Buy one industrial sewing machine and one overlock machine, available for professionals to use at the center;
  • Support 4 to 5 young adults in completing a hands-on training course at a vocational center.

Monaโ€™s story reminds us that youโ€™re never too young to make a difference โ€” and that hope grows when we choose to act together!

Thank you Mona!
